Backorders

Janet is getting a lot of these questions so I’m going to clarify it on her behalf. One of the biggest queries is along the lines of “I’ve been watching x product waiting for it to come into stock but it’s still showing as on backorder. Any idea when it’s going to come in?”

There’s several issues at play here.
~ Some Countries are still experiencing lockdowns and temporary closures meaning despite Janet placing an order with them they can’t despatch it if they are in lockdown.
~ There are very few passenger flights coming into Australia at the moment, so items that would’ve arrived by plane are now delayed with a lot of manufacturers having to find alternative transport methods such as ships.
~ And possibly the biggest thing that people need to be aware of. If you’re watching an item waiting for it to come into stock, Janet DOES NOT KNOW you’re wanting it. She’s unlikely to order it, especially if it’s an unusual item or not so popular colour of fabric. Unless you place your order for that item Janet is not going to know to order it from the manufacturer.

There are over 30,000 products on the website. Janet can not possibly keep stock of them all. So if you’re watching a product and waiting for it to come off of backorder there’s a pretty good chance it will never come into stock and be available unless you place an order for it.

$30 Gift Voucher for May 2021 has been found

If you don’t know what I’m talking about, please read the post below this one.
This announcement is to let you know that the prize has already been found. Well done finding it within 35,000 ish products. I thought I made this one a bit easy but the next one will be tougher. I already know exactly where I’m placing it.
I’ll do another post early June to let you all know when the next voucher is available to find.

The Rules of the Game

Every month (on a date that will be advised on the updates page of the website) there will be an image of a winner, celebration, that type of thing inserted ‘somewhere’ within the website shop for sale.

There will be no description and the item will appear as a product but the name of the product will be something completely random.

The first person to add this item to their shopping cart with ANOTHER item and go through checkout successfully wins a credit on their account of $30.

Please remember that just because it’s in your cart doesn’t mean it’s yours! It’s the first person to go through checkout whilst purchasing at least one other item. Once the item has been successfully found and purchased through checkout the image will vanish from the website. At the beginning of the next month a new image will appear somewhere within the shop on the website.

1. You HAVE to go through checkout successfully to be entitled to the $30 voucher. Just adding it to your cart is not enough.
2. Other people can also have it in their cart. It is the first person through checkout successfully.
3. If you haven’t purchased an item with the winning image then your order will be cancelled and the winning image will be again added to the website in a different location.
4. You cannot cheat the system by searching for this item. The product will be a random name, nothing to do with winning. How to find it? The difference is there will be no description for this item.
5. This does not affect the current vouchers given away monthly on the JK’s Cross Stitch Supplies Facebook Chat Page. They will remain in place. This is only for the website.
